Alokai is a frontend solution for e-commerce. It is solely a frontend. To function, it requires an external backend. You can integrate it with backends such as Odoo, Shopify, Magento, Adobe Commerce, and WooCommerce. Alokai is a so-called headless solution.

The standard Odoo (Website and E-commerce app) is a monolithic solution. The front-end (user interface) and the back-end  are tightly connected. Alokai uses a headless approach where the front-end and back-end are decoupled. It communicates with the back-end via predefined middleware. This offers more flexibility, an improved user experience, better performance, and increased security.

If e-commerce is a crucial sales channel for your business and you have (or aim for) at least €5,000,000 in online revenue annually, then a headless setup is worth considering.
